Because this site provides ongoing and periodic editorial bowling articles, we thought it would be fun to hear from you as to what are your thoughts when you bowl about your swing?

Let’s get you started by saying that the the bowling swing is the key to developing a solid game and to repeating good shots.

It is not important what your skill level or experiences in the game have been but what do you think about when you are walking and swinging your bowling ball?

Here are ideas which may relate to your swing when you bowl which will lead you to commenting:

Do you focus on each segment of your swing throughout your entire approach and delivery?

Are you one who simply thinks about getting your ball into your swing smoothly and on time?

Do you think about the height of your backswing?

Do you think mainly about your release on your forward swing?

Perhaps you focus largely on the start of your downswing?

Do you think about your follow-through motion?

Are you thinking about the tempo of your swing?

Do you think about the direction of your swing path when delivering your bowling ball?

Do you use a free and relaxed swing motion or more of a controlled, muscle guided swing?

Every bowler keys on one or more aspects of their swing. What is your key or keys to making an effective swing?
