Which Type Of Bowling Ball Would You Choose?

bowlingball.com continues our series of Editorial articles to express opinions about the bowling industry. This article proposes a hypothetical competition where every bowler is allowed to use only one ball, which type of bowling ball would you choose?

Because this site provides ongoing and periodic editorial bowling articles, we thought it would be fun to hear from you as to which type of ball would you choose for use in a special competition where no advanced notice of a specific oil pattern were announced prior to competition and if all contestants were allowed to choose only one ball each?

Let’s get you started by stating there are many factors which you will need to consider when weighing your options.

It is not important what your skill level or experiences in the game have been but is important that you use any information you have knowledge of based on your game and style of bowling to make a choice in a bowling ball?

No specific brand name need be mentioned but you may if you wish. Merely identify which features in a bowling ball you think would benefit you best and be most versatile on a unknown lane condition for this hypothetical competition?

Here are ideas which may relate to helping you make a decision:

*Would you choose a shiny reactive ball?

*Perhaps you would choose a solid reactive ball?

*Maybe you prefer to use a Hybrid reactive ball?

*Do you think using a symmetrical core design which tends to produce a stable arc motion is better in this competition than choosing an asymmetric core design ball designed to produce greater track flare?

*Do you think a high track flare potential ball would be a benefit as opposed to a lower flare potential ball in this special situation?

*Perhaps a combination of options would be in your best interests? What might they be?

*How about choosing a low friction coverstock such as an entry level urethane ball or maybe even a plastic ball?

*What about a drilling layout? How would you prefer to have your ball drilled, if not one already ready for use from your present arsenal?

*How would you prepare the ball surface texture before you begin bowling in this event?

*Maybe you would use a factory finish ball right out of the box?

How you visualize matching a ball with a general ball reaction which gives you the greatest versatility regardless of the unknown lane conditions entering this competition is an important factor for consideration.

We would like to read your comments. Kindly place your comment in our blog section immediately below this article and share with us your choice of bowling ball for this fun event and why? We thank you in advance for your participation and we look forward to reading your comments.

Thank You,
