bowlingball.com continues our series of Editorial articles to express opinions about the bowling industry. This article asks which are your three best bowling adjustments when playing the lanes?

Because this site provides continuous editorial bowling articles, we thought it would be fun to hear from our friends which adjustments you rely on most as the lanes change during your competitive leagues and tournaments?

Let’s get you started by saying that lanes change chiefly due to linage created by multiple bowlers bowling on the same pair of lanes in your league or in a tournament.

As the lanes change, so must we as players so we can consistently hit the pocket on strike deliveries and pick up our spares. This article is referencing strike ball deliveries only and how you can best adjust to hit the pocket as your ball reaction changes.

Here is additional some criteria to help you determine your three best options in making lane adjustments:

Do you switch bowling balls as soon as you get a changing ball reaction and begin to miss the pocket?

Do you change ball speed?

Is changing your hand position and your release technique among your best options?

Do you vary the distance you loft the ball over the foul line?

Are angle changes by moving either left or right on the approach among your best three choices?

Do you move your target on the lane left or right on the lane thereby changing your delivery angle?

Do you move your target on the lane nearer or further from you as your ball reaction changes?

Of all options available to you, which three are your favorite and best adjustments you make when you lose a reliable ball reaction and can no longer hit the pocket consistently.

We would like to read your comments about your three best adjustment choices and why?

Kindly place your comment in our blog section immediately below this article and let us share in your favorite adjustments when playing the lanes.

We thank you in advance for your participation and are anxious to read your comments.
