If you are wondering what makes a bowler a highly skilled player, there are several factors to consider. Do we consider a bowling average as the key factor in determining if a bowler is highly skilled player?
Is using a league average the real story in rating a player’s skills?
Is the ability to excel on challenging lane conditions versus high scoring conditions most important?
Which physical game skills are key?
Is hooking the bowling ball by using a powerful release technique and creating a high rev-rate more important than pure accuracy with a lesser rev-rate?
How important Is accuracy hitting your target on the lane?
How about knowing when to switch bowling balls or how to prepare the surface texture to best match with lane conditions?
What about lane adjustments as conditions change? Is the ability of a good player to make physical adjustments such as ball speed changes or release changes when he or she begins missing the pocket chief factors in determining the skill level of this given player?
