If you averaging between 140 and 170 and are asking how can I get better balance when I bowl, then check out these simple tips which will help you improve your bowling balance:

*set-up on the approach with a forward spine angle tilt of about 10 or 15 degrees.

*flex both knees slightly before walking.

*hold your bowling ball in front of your bowling shoulder somewhere waist high or whichever height is most comfortable.

*hold your bowling ball as close to your body as you can so the weight of the ball will feel as light as possible.

*keep your chin slightly above the top portion of your shoulders with your eyes fixed on your sighting target on the lane.

*remain as motionless with your head and torso when you walk and deliver your bowling ball.

*retain slight knee flex while you walk, particularly on the last two steps so you avoid lunging forward or pulling your upper body up and out of form when delivering your ball.

*hold your form and posture until your ball reaches the bowling arrows, or about one second after the ball exits your hand.

*stay relaxed and as tension free with your legs and bowling swing while you make an approach to the foul line.

*walk softly on the approach floor so you do not feel like you are digging in and crouching too low or standing up before you reach the critical ball delivery zone at the bottom of your forward swing motion.

These simple tips will help you improve your balance in your set-up and while you are bowling and releasing your ball.

Good balance helps improve your control and accuracy and will lead to improved bowling scores.
