How Are You Preparing For Back To League?

bowlingball.com Staff Writer

6/1/2020

bowlingball.com continues our series of Editorial articles to express opinions about the bowling industry. This article asks, how are you preparing for your return to league bowling?

This year, 2020, we as humans have endured some hardships due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and we have seen firsthand the effects that it had on our beloved sport, bowling. Although we took the necessary time to stay at home for our safety, many of us will soon be returning to local centers for league bowling.

Because this site provides ongoing and periodic editorial bowling articles, we thought it would be informative to learn from you what you plan on doing to prepare for the return to bowling?

Here are some ideas which may lead you to commenting:

Have your local bowling centers issued any notice of social distancing practices and/or increase of sanitizing common areas?

Do you plan on wearing a mask while you bowl?

If you do not plan on wearing a mask, do you intend to social distance yourself 6 feet away from your teammates?

Will you be using isopropyl alcohol to wipe down your bowling balls? (Temporarily approved by USBC; as seen here)

Would you still order food/beverages while bowling?

If someone on the team calls out sick, would you think it wise that they stay out for at least 2 weeks?

Are you going to implement an "elbow bump" instead of a "high five" or "fist bump"?

If you do not own your own shoes or ball, will you be bringing your own sanitation for precaution?

If you are not returning to league this summer, do you hope to return this fall if your center is open?

Once you get home from league, will you be bringing your gear inside your home for storage? Or keep it is elsewhere?

Feel free to share what you wish to communicate. Your idea for back to bowling may spark another idea for a different bowler.

We would very much appreciate your comments. Kindly place your comment below this article. We thank you in advance for your participation and we look forward to reading your responses.
