We hear it all the time in golf - stay down and through. The same holds true in bowling - stay down and through with your bowling swing.
If you are learning the game or trying to make improvements, the two real keys to making consistent shots is to be in position to do so and to complete your swing without cutting it off short.
It all starts with good posture in your set-up position on the approach.
Once you assume an athletic posture, it is important to walk to the line maintaining the same spine angle and retaining knee flex, particularly on your final two steps.
Keep your head as motionless as possible so you are in a stable and balance position when delivering your bowling ball.
Finish your swing. Follow through toward your sighting target.
Cutting your follow through short and forcing your delivery only leads to inconsistent shots and to accuracy issues.
When you shut off your follow through motion, your forearm muscles and hand tend to tighten and grab at the ball causing poor hand action and which inevitably leads to errant deliveries.
Proper bowling body posture is very important in retaining good balance and in making accurate deliveries.
Maintaining an athletic bowling body posture during your approach will encourage consistent deliveries with a stable body position during your sliding step.

With good balance at the line when delivering your ball, you stand the best chances of making a full and complete follow through motion.
Finishing the swing gives you the best chances at regulating good ball speed leading to an dependable ball reaction.
It is a simple matter of staying in form when sliding and delivering your ball and finishing your swing motion. These two simple keys are very important in the process of improving your accuracy and control.
