Deliver A Bowling Strike For A Million Bucks

If you had to deliver a strike on TV to win one million dollars, you would stand the best chance by making a fluid bowling motion and zeroing in on your target.

This is an interesting notion of placing maximum pressure on your ability to make a good shot in the clutch by having to deliver a bowling strike for a million bucks.

You certainly would not rear back and heave your bowling ball as hard as you can in blind hope.

You likely would not try and use as many “revs” as possible or force your release.

What makes most sense for you trying to strike for one million dollars is to trust your natural movements and hit your target.

Regardless of your bowling style or technique, you would do everything you can to concentrate on making the best shot possible for that one precious moment.

Once the ball is gone, nothing can be done about the eventual result.

If you think carefully about making that one monumental shot, you likely would choose to make a fluid, free flowing approach by using good tempo with your feet and swing so you give yourself a chance to release the ball accurately to your aim point on the lane.

If this is the strategy you would use trying to roll for one strike for a million dollars, why wouldn’t you use the same strategy every time you bowl?

In other words, do everything you can to stay balanced, use an evenly paced tempo with your steps and swing, and make a smooth release toward your aim point.

Why should the drama of trying to roll a strike for tons of cash be any different than needing a strike in league to win a point for your team or for winning a PBA Title on National TV.

In any case, you must trust your skills and make one good shot at a time and then move immediately onto the next with the same full commitment as the prior one.

Next time you practice, pay special attention to making the type of shot needed for a million dollars. Count cadence with each step if you have to so you prevent hurrying your steps beyond your normal pace when you bowl your best. Synchronize your steps and swing pace to achieve a fluid bowling motion.

Another advantage of bowling with good tempo is controlling your bowling ball speed. By applying the same amount of force with each forward swing and release to a full and complete follow through, you stand your best chance at also controlling your bowling ball skid distance. In doing so, you stand a great chance of getting a very reliable overall ball reaction. Naturally, by using flowing bowling movements, adjustments are made with increased success because you are making consistent shots and getting a dependable ball reaction. Approach tempo and ball speed control are cornerstones to hitting the pocket and getting that one million dollar strike.
