Congratulations to Ryan Ciminelli, who bested Tommy Jones in the final match-up to claim the $10,000 championship prize at the bowlingball.com PBA Maine Shootout. The Wednesday evening final match was the culmination of a week of PBA activity at Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine.

bowlingball.com was proud to be a major sponsor of the entire week's activities.  As an Official Partner of the PBA League, and with the primary sponsorship of the PBA League Silver Lake Atom Splitters, the bowlingball.com logo adorned the team's jerseys in front of an unbelievably boisterous Maine crowd.  The animated atmosphere at PBA League events is unmatched by any other PBA event, and perhaps in all of professional sports.  ESPN PBA League coverage will begin on Sunday, April 17th from 1-3pm, and will continue for the following three Sundays (April 24th, May 1st, and May 8th).  Be sure to tune in to witness the excitement and competition of the PBA League, and make sure to support the bowlingball.com Silver Lake Atom Splitters (Chris Barnes, Tom Daugherty, Dick Allen, Matthew McNeil, Jesper Svensson) in their quest for the Elias Cup. Also, check out the bowlingball.com signage and TV commercial on ESPN!

After the PBA League event concluded on Sunday, Monday evening saw the bowlingball.com PBA Maine Shootout draw party on XtraFrame, which determined the match-play brackets for the PBA participants.  This unique format, streamed on XtraFrame throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, brought a new level of pressure to the athletes, as the best 2 out of 3 head-to-head games is required to advance to the next bracket. Ryan Ciminelli made his way through the field by beating Michael Markin, Ronnie Russell, Shawn Maldonado, Wes Malott, and Tim Mack in order to face Tommy Jones in the final best-of-3 match. Ciminelli defeated Jones for the $10,000 prize with scores of 255-213 and 225-203.

Congratulations again to Ryan Ciminelli and to all of the PBA participants who enjoyed a week of fun and spirited rivalry at Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine. bowlingball.com was proud to be at the center of it all, and to partner with the PBA and bowling's most elite athletes.
