Bowling Practice Plan And Schedule

It is important to spend some time and money practicing your bowling. Develop a bowling practice plan and schedule for each week. Make the time and money spent on bowling count the most.

If you are like most bowlers, you haven’t the time to practice as often as you wish if you have gotten serious about improving your game. There simply is not enough convenient practice time available to you because of your daily or weekly personal routine away from the lanes.

Because of this, when you do practice it is difficult to work on all the things you believe are key to making progress.

This is why you must establish two important factors to help you on a road to improvement, a practice plan and a practice schedule.

With a practice plan, you can develop 5 physical game fundamentals such as footwork, swing and release techniques, or posture and balance, and select one fundamental to work on each successive session.

Dedicate at least one practice session to spares.

A good practice plan also implies using a spaced interval practice schedule.

If you can only find time and money to practice once per week other than your league time, try to space the practice about 3 days apart from your league schedule.

If time and budget matters prohibit more than one practice per week, then bowl about two days apart so you never allow too much time to pass between practice sessions.

If you are able to practice two or three times per week, then you can certainly cover more key areas related to your game.

If possible try to bowl at least one time each three days, including league times, to keep a fluid routine in place.

Prepare your own practice plan checklist and rotate working on keys to your physical game each time you bowl.

Track your progress during practice sessions. If need be, take notes you can use so the next practice session you can refer back to your notes as a reminder of the specific elements of your game you worked on previously. A practice plan is a mini-business plan for your bowling. It can be a simple plan where you focus on the strengths of your game which have led to past successes or it can be a detailed plan where you cover many components of your game in succession over given periods of practice time.
