Bowl With A Smooth and Balanced Slide

If you are working on your game, make certain that you bowl with a smooth and balanced slide.
Accuracy,
bowling ball skid distance, and speed control rely on a well balanced, smooth, and consistent slide into the foul line.
Developing a reliable bowling slide begins with making good steps leading into the final slide step. Here are a few tips for the final slide step to build into your developing game:
*Your slide step must move toward the center of your body. Sliding to the center of body mass helps support your weight and stabilizes your upper body while you are releasing your bowling ball.
*Gradually increase the pace of each step so you build momentum leading into your final slide step.
*Slide into the foul line area with the toe of your sliding bowling shoe pointing as straight forward toward the pins as possible.
*Slide as near the foul line as consistently as you can without sliding over the line. Slide no further than 6 inches from the foul line.
*The ball area of your sliding bowling shoe sole should contact the approach floor slightly before your heel contacts the floor.
The entire bottom surface of your bowling shoe must provide a long and smooth sliding motion with your body weight aligned above your sliding shoe.
*Flex your knees slightly and gradually increase the amount of
knee flex each step. Your sliding knee should flex more than any previous step to ensure making a long and well balanced slide.
*Slide with your front portion of your shoulders aligned directly above your sliding kneecap and keep your head level with your eyes focused sharply on your sight target.
*Own a good pair of
bowling shoes to provide you with sliding stability.
Bowling with good footwork and a sound sliding technique leads directly to accurate shot making.
