I order a pair of these shoes for a customer around. I have to say this is the best looking shoes I have seen for the price. They lean away from the tennis shoe look and do not give up the tennis shoe feel that alot of bowlers have come to like. Excellent product!

This customer was looking for something that would handle heavier volumes of oil. He spins the ball a lot which can make it difficult to make the ball see the front of the lane correctly on heavier volumes of oil. I had heard really good things about this ball and that it was quite strong so we decided to give it a try.

Wow, how strong this ball is!! He was currently throwing a Bounty with a weaker layout and a Vibe. The Bounty Hunter out hooked his Bounty by a good 7 boards on the house pattern in our center. He struggled a little at first due to fact that he hasn't seen a ball move like this before. Once we got his feet about 8 and 5 left or where he normally plays then Bounty Hunter became a monster. It read the midlanes really hard with a controlled but powerful move down the lane.

The Bounty Hunter is going to be a great ball for playing inside on higher volume patterns for rev dominate and matched players and will be absolutley a must for speed dominate players who have trouble hooking the ball.

When drilling this ball we were trying to create a ball reaction that would compliment the Virtual Gravity she is throwing. We were looking for something cleaner and more angular than the VG.

Testing the Bounty Hunter Pearl on a fresh house shot, it was immediately noticeable how much cleaner the Bounty Hunter Pearl was and extremely fast responding to friction. On the fresh it was too skid/flippy. After bowling for about 30-45 min the Bounty Hunter Pearl started to show its strength. Once the mids started to dry up, she was able to make a 3 and 1 move left and the lane completely opened up. What a good move this ball makes!

The Bounty Hunter Pearl is a great ball choice for transitioning lanes and will be excellent for higher rev players. Very impressive ball.

The Break out is one of the most versatile balls in Global's current releases. Very clean through the fronts with a strong and continuous ball motion. The Break Out is a great benchmark ball for almost all styles due to its predictability.

I just drilled on of these for a league bowler who was currently throwing a Scorchin Inferno. He was looking for something that would hook more in the back part of the lane.
After watching a few videos of this ball we decided that this ball would be a good choice.

Bowler Specs:
rev rate - 325-375 rpms
ball speed - 14-15 mph
axis tilt - low
axis rotation - high

layout:
55x5x35
no hole

Since he is a fairly rev dominate bowler, we wanted a coverstock that would get down the lane easily but with a strong core to help his entry angle.

The Break Point Pearl was actually cleaner down than the lane than I though it was going to be. He actually was able to move 4 to 5 boards farther right and the backend action was unbelievably aggressive. As soon as the ball saw friction it was dead left, this translated into a massive amount of pin carry for him.

The Break Point Pearl is a great piece of equipment for rev dominate players who is looking for something to increase their entry angle to the pocket.

This bowler being a very rev dominate player. We decided to look for something with a lower diff to help add control. When I saw this ball get released I didn't really know what to expect since there are not too many low diff asymmetrical balls.

The Link s30 has quickly became one of his favorite balls. Even with his higher rev rate this ball gets down the lane very easily and has a nice smooth arc in the back. It allows him to play closer to the track in league and stay there for a good period of time.

This ball is a great ball choice for rev dominate players on medium-dry patterns and for matched players on dry. Speed Dominate players will have to use stronger layouts and surface.

The 900 Global Missing Link is a very surprising ball. Even though this is a inexpensive ball this ball hooks quite a bit. I drilled one of these for a customer of mine to compliment his Link that he loves. Using a very similar layout to the Link (65x3x35) he had to play the lanes 7 and 3 left of the Link. It reads the midlane a lot harder and has a very smooth motion. I am quite impressed with this release.

The Global 900 Profit is a great ball for someone looking to create more angle down lane. The S70 cover is extremely clean through the fronts which allows the ball to retain energy till it gets to the end of the pattern. Higher Rev players will see alot of use on many different patterns where tweeners and strokers will love this ball when patterns start to transition. Another great ball by Global 900

With this customer I was looking for a ball motion that would help him get started better out of the gate. He has always struggled on the fresh, especially at the USBC Open due to the amount of axis rotation he has.

Luckily we were able to test this ball on the 2011 Nationals pattern. Right at the start you could tell how much smoother this ball was off the end of the pattern. He was able to play right in the track with everyone else and actually had a little miss room either way. As the pattern started to break down he made simple 2 and 1 moves to keep his break point the same.

This is a great ball motion for team event in Nationals as well as other flatter oil patterns. With this ball having it's own prize fund at the USBC Open Championships, how could you not get one for yourself.

The Nuts is a new release from 900 Global. This ball is extremely long, with a very strong back end. The new neat finishing system from 900 Global, produces a glossy finish similar to polished balls, I found the ball to be to long with the factory finish, after sanding with 2000 abralon, the ball gave me a great look, with a very strong finish

The Nuts Pearl is the new release from Global 900, the combination of the high Rg and high differential core with the pearl S70 coverstock gives you a great ball for that typical house shot, clean through the heads with excellent reaction, and strong continuous hook on the back end.

The AMF Double clutch is a stronger version on the Clutch. Better midlane traction from the F64 coverstock makes this ball a great choice for tweeners and strokers on fresh patterns. Higher rev players will be able to use this on high volumes of oil.

The AMF Shredder is one of the strongest pearls around. The F74 cover is a very powerful cover that still allows the ball to be moderately clean through the fronts. The higher diff core allows this ball to start revving very quickly making the ball see the midlane better. This is a good ball for medium to heavy for most styles, tweeners will most likely be able to use this more frequently.

The Griips Glove is a very unique glove that really cuts down wear and tear on the fingers. It also has great benefits from a release standpoint. It allows the fingers to stay in the ball longer creating for roll and hook for most players. I was worried at first that it would not stay in place during the release, I was way wrong! The Griips glove does not slide around helping you keep your release consistant from shot to shot.

The Anaconda is one of my favorite Brunswick releases right now. I was a huge fan of the Absolute Inferno and with this ball using the same cover I knew immediately this was going to be a great ball. This is the strongest ball in the snake series and is extremely versatile! Moderately clean through the fronts with a very strong midlane read is making this ball a favorite among many players. Rev/speed matched players are going to love this ball on many conditions!

This bowler is a speed dominate player. She needed something to read pretty early but still have continuation in the back of the lane.

The C System 3.5 turned out to be the perfect ball. Even with her higher ball speed, it still picked up in the midlane very well and hits like a truck. This will be a great ball for her on higher volume or longer patterns.

Of all the Brunswick balls I have drilled in the past few years this is one of the best balls I have seen since the Absolute Inferno. Low Rev players will love it, higher rev players will want to use weaker layouts due to how much this ball flares and how soon it sees the lane. Overall a great release by Brunswick.

The C System 4.5 cover has a lower friction factor than the 3.5 which allows it to generate more length through the heads and mid-lane without giving up the quick response and strong traction on the back-end. The 4.5 is powered by the new I–Block symmetric core which is a modification of the the original asymmetric I–Block core. This ball clean through the heads, When it comes out of the pattern it
is really strong on the back end of the lane.

Brunswick new release in the C-system line is the 4.5. Compared to the previous releases it is cleaner through the fronts and more angular. A very good ball choice for rev dominate and matched players. If you are looking for a pro performance ball that will allow you to create more angle at the break point then the C-system 4.5 is a great choice.

Brunswick has really created a new ball motion for them with the Damage. Brunswick equipment has had the reputation of making earlier rolling equipment. The Brunswick Damage is the complete opposite of this, this is one of the cleanest balls through the fronts that I have seen them make in a while. The Brunswick Diamondback is one great piece of equipment. It is extremely controllable and does not react too quick off the dry boards. The Evil Siege is one of the best rolling Brunswick balls I have seen since the Absolute Inferno. We drilled one for a UCF collegiate bowler 55x5x60, pin ended up being in the middle finger. What a great rolling ball this is! Very clean through the fronts with a strong midlane read that is highly controllable. After we drilled it he went out on the lanes and threw the first 11 to shoot 299. The roll this ball delivers is very versatile and can be used for many different types of players.

This customer was looking for a ball that would be a good step down from his Alpha Max (30 x 4 x 30). Being as speed dominate as he is I have to look for balls with stronger covers to get ball to see the mids the right way. The Danger Zone has always been a favorite of mine from Brunswick and the Powerkoil 17 cover is pretty strong so We figured this would be a good fit.

Out of the box this ball was pretty clean through the fronts with a fairly strong mid lane move. At this point in time we had not punched a hole in it just to see how the ball reacted before we did. Being as speed dominate as he is we decided to knock the surface down to 1000 with no polish. This made a huge difference in the mid lane motion of the Karma. He was able to move slightly left but now he had a extra 2 to 3 boards miss right. In comparison to his Alpha Max, the Karma was about 6 and 3 right with his feet and more controllable. We then added a P2 hole just to make the ball legal. We did not want to alter this reaction at all!

I see the Karma series working well for many types of players. Rev/Speed matched players are going to match up the best. This is definitely a great compliment to the C-System series.

Let me start by saying that the Brunswick Men's Brunspro shoes are one of the best priced shoes on the market. If you are a fan of the Dexter SST series you will absolutely love these shoes. With Brunswick new release the Revolver, they have created a strong midlane ball for a moderate price. The new Jack core is a very high flaring core that increases friction and helps eliminate the ball slipping downlane. This is a great ball for speed dominate and matched players for moderately heavy patterns. Another great release by Brunswick.

Brunswick has release a excellent line of entry level bowling balls called the Slingshot. These are great balls for the person looking to upgrade from plastic or someone looking for a ball to play drier or shorter lane patterns. The Slingshot uses a new 2-piece core and the Powerkoil 17 cover, one of their most popular coverstocks. This combination creates more power than any other 2 or 3 piece ball on the market. The Slingshot is stronger than the Power Grooves but still has enough energy to get through the pins very effectively. The ball comes in 5 different colors that are very appealing to the eye. Great release by Brunswick.

Thinking about buying a spare ball? Consider a Slingshot, I have drilled quite a few lately for bowlers who need a little help with those pesky corner pins. While the Slingshot will not over react on those corner pin spares, it will give you a ball to use when you run into dry/burned up lane conditions.

Brunswick has really come on strong with their new releases. The Wicked Siege is no exception. This is by far the most angular motion in the Siege series. This ball is cleaner than the Evil Siege and has a much bigger backend motion. High rev players will absolutely love this ball for playing inside angles where tweeners and strokers will find this beneficial on multiple lane conditions when more angle is needed to carry out the corners.

The bowler I drilled is for is a med. rev spinner. We were looking for something for him to use for a 45 ft kegel pattern since his Absolute Inferno and Vapor Zone was too weak. I had read great things about the Wild Card so we decided to give it a try.

The Wild Card was very surprising. It ended up being more ball than I expected. It was definitely strong enough to handle the 45 foot pattern for him, but the surprising part was how well it retained energy as the night went on. Most Brunswick stuff I have drilled have a tendency to start losing energy quick, this was not the case in the Wild Card. He shot 650 his first night on a 192 average moving only about 3 to 5 boards throughout the night. Needless to say he was extremely pleased. Great release by Brunswick.

The Dexter SST 8's are by far the best shoe I have seen released in some time. The adding of interchangeable soles on both shoes the on the best ideas Dexter has had. From a bowler standpoint it allows you to adjust every aspect of your approach from the slide to the power step. From a pro shop standpoint it allows me to stock one shoe for both left and right-handers which is very convenient. The bowlers I have here that use them say they are the most comfortable and versatile shoes they have ever owned.

DV8 is a new brand from Brunswick. This is not your typical Brunswick ball. The Dv8 line was created, to be cleaner through the heads, and much more angular then your typical Brunswick balls, and is it ever, this ball has no problem getting down the lane,before making a hard angular movement to the pocket.

This may be the best ball i have ever thrown, this ball flat out hooks, and more importantly carries, i have seen a dramatic increase in ten pin carry. I have never found a ball i wanted more than one of, until now, I have 3 Hell Raiser Revenge, one drilled pin down, one pin up, one pin up, and polished. I have yet to find a condition that one of the three will not work on. Being a pro shop operator, i have drilled this ball for all styles of bowlers, and have yet to find the bowler it has not helped, this ball gets my vote for ball of the year.

The DV8 line have become my go to balls, the Reckless starts rolling just a little sooner than the Hell Raiser, for a little more control in the back end. This ball is a great compliment to its big brother the Hell Raiser.

The Ebonite Game Plan is going to be a benchmark ball for many Ebonite fans. It clean through the fronts but is still quite rolly through the mid-lanes due the strength of the cover. The Etonic Stabilite Plus is my shoe of choice. I have been using these shoes for 2 years now and are by far my favorite shoes I have owned. The soles were great right out of the box and did not have to be broke in. The only thing I was leery of at first was the heel not being interchangeable but I have not had one issue where this has caused me any issues. I have simply been able to change the sole to adjust to any approach condition I have encountered. There are also one the most comfortable shoes of any type I have owned. If you haven't tried Etonic's give them a try you won't be disappointed.

The Etonic Basic Kitty has become a very good selling item in my shop. They are a very reasonably priced shoe that is universal for right and left handers. They feel pretty much like a tennis shoe which is great for the casual bowler.

The Ebonite Backlash is a great choice if you are looking for something to play shorter patterns. The lower diff core combined with the max-length cover allows this ball to be very clean through the fronts without being overly angular of the end of the pattern. Rev Dominate players are sure to love this ball as well as bowlers with slower ball speeds. This is a type of ball that everyone needs in their arsenal.

I just drilled one of the Jigsaw Corners for a customer. He is a very low rev rate and is speed dominate. I used a 55x4x35 layout and let me tell you this ball rolls amazing. Even being speed dominate he was able to get a very defined move at the breakpoint and was about 5 boards stronger than the Dimension he was currently throwing. You can definitely tell Hammer put some time into making this ball. If have trouble getting the ball to make the corner the Jigsaw corner definitely lives up to its name.

The customer I laid this ball out for was looking for a strong midlane ball with a lot of continuation in the back. A ball that would be stronger overall than the 715A he was currently using.

The Hammer Jacked was a pleasantly surprising ball for the price point it is being sold at. It is moderately clean through the front part of the lane. The midlane is where this ball really shined, giving a very strong but highly predictable move that he was able to use very easily on the 41 foot "Beaten Road" pattern. Being a a fairly speed dominate player he was still able to create some miss area to the right and still get the ball back to the 1-3.

The Raw Hammer Jacked is going to be a good piece of equipment for many players but so far as seemed to match up better to players with higher ball speeds.

Hammer Taboo Electric Blue/Silver is the new release for Hammer. If you liked the original taboo, you will love the Electric Blue/silver, as this ball is 3 to 4 boards stronger, with excellent finish through the pins. Great addition to the Hammer line.

IF you want to be able to maintain your bowling equipment yourself then the Innovative Personal Ball Spinner is a must have. Cleaning a bowling ball by hand helps but to properly maintain a bowling ball to get the most out of it you have to restore the manufacturers surface every 25 games. This can only be done with a ball spinner. This is a very compact ball spinner that can be stored very easily and is easy to use. In my opinion the KR Sonic Single is one of the best 1-ball totes on the market. Not only is it inexpensive it has a ton of storage space. One of it's best features is that everything has it's own compartment. With some of the bags today you have to put the shoes and ball in the center compartment. With the Sonic bag the shoes has it own pocket as well as the ball and your accessories. This is definitely a bag to look into.

The Lane #1 Chain-Saw is a great ball for late in the day. It is extremely clean though the heads and does respond quickly to friction. This can be a great choice for when a higher rev player starts getting pushed to far left due to the heads breaking down. Tweeners and strokers will be able to stay out in the dry a little longer without losing energy downlane. If you need something for dry lanes the Lane #1 Chainsaw is a good choice.

Wow does this ball hook! The Lane #1 Chainsaw Massacre LE has one of the strongest motions in todays game. This ball is going match up really well for people with higher ball speeds and lower rev rates. The Lane #1 Dynamo is one of the strongest balls in Lane #1's line. It is definitely designed for heavier volume patterns, due to it's extremely aggressive cover. Low rev rates and high ball speeds will absolutely love this ball and will be able to throw it more frequently. When drilling this we were looking for something that would create more angle in the back of lane that could be used from inside angles on med to dry conditions.

Testing the Gemstone on a league shot it turned out to be stronger than expected. It was clean through the fronts but had more of a midlane read than we thought it would, making it a little smoother. Still a great bowling ball however. He was able to start deeper than the Hi-Road is was throwing, but as the night went on it became to strong and had to square up with his Hi-Road.

The most impressive thing I noticed about the Gemstone was how well it went through the pins. He was tripping out 10's that he was leaving before, and the dead flush ones he threw were devastating. The Gemstone seems as though it will match up well for a lot of different styles but will be more beneficial to tweeners. Lane #1 is really making some great balls as of late.

The Lane #1 Pink Panther is a great control ball. It is still fairly strong but does not jump off of friction like a lot of high performance balls today. Higher rev players will really like ball due to its smooth transition from oil to dry. For Higher ball speeds and lower rev rates the Pink panther will be a great choice for playing closer to the dry or for when the lanes start to transition.

I have always been a fan of light load particle covers. The particle in the cover allows me to get the ball to read the midlane more evenly without sacrificing motion in the back of the lane. The Lane #1 Time Bomb Black Fire utilizes the Power Snap 17 light load particle cover, combining this with the Hour Glass Inverted Diamond core creates a strong midlane motion with plenty of backend power. This is a very versatile piece of equipment that matches well for speed dominate and matched players that will allow them to play many angles on the lane. Rev Dominate players will also like this ball from inside angles when you are trying to open the lane up. They also could use this closer to the track o a house shot by changing it to a smoother surface and maybe adding a little polish. Combining a polyester cover with this aggressive core allows you to play in the dry without sacrificing hitting power at the pins. The Morich Special Edition Spare ball is a great looking polyester ball from Morich. This is the perfect ball for making those dreaded corner pins. Throwing plastic at spares is something that is overlooked by a lot of bowlers. Roto Grip has created a whole new bag line that is some of the best looking bags I have ever seen. The Alliance 3 Ball Tote is one of the bags that has the new Yellow and Charcoal color design. The Roto-Grip 3-ball tote is by far the bag I use the most. It is especially convenient when having to fly. With the detachable shoe and accessory compartments off and 3 15lb balls it still weighs under the 50lb airline restrictions, keeping me from paying those hideous $50.00 bag fees. The 3-ball tote is great for ground travel as well, it doesn't take up a lot of space in the car and is quite easy to get in and out. If you are a tournament bowler this bag is a must-have!

Don't overlook The Alliance just because it is international. The core in this ball is similar to the cores used in the Epic and Saga. With the clean coverstock this ball has it is going to be a monster in the back part of the lane. So if you are looking for something that will give you a lot of backend this is definitely a ball to look at

When laying the Dark Star out I was looking for something that would be very clean through the fronts without changing directions very quick off the dry so I could play a little straighter in league. I have used this layout before on a Mars and it worked really well, but was not quite strong enough for what I was looking for.

This ball turned out absolutely perfect! The first night in league I threw it I shot 248, 249, 259 for a 756 playing about 5 and 3 right of where I normally play in this center. The area that I had was absolutely ridiculous and the ball got through the pins so much better since I didn't have to use such wide angles through the fronts. Through the entire night I moved a total of 5 and 2 which is very little compared to the moves I normally make.

The Dark Star compliments the Nomad Series and Planet series very well. The Dark Star seems to match up better for higher rev players and for slower ball speeds. Another great release by Roto Grip!!

The Odyssey was one of the best balls in the Epic series. A very strong and predictable motion makes this ball a good choice for almost any type of player. Roto-Grip fans who have a Cell will really like this ball for when the Cell is too much. The Ultimate Vision cover is a very clean cover for a solid high performance ball which will allow you to get the ball through the fronts a little better than the Cell. And will not respond to the dry boards as quickly.

If you are looking for that ball that chews through heavier patterns and carrydown take a look at the Quest. This ball creates a early but very smooth motion that has been very helpful for me in tough situations, especially on sport shots. It can also be used for bowlers that are speed-dominate for almost any league shot. High rev players will love this ball when playing sport patterns and patterns with carry down. I have highly been looking forward to the the release of the Roto Grip Grenade. With the shorter patterns that we see in some tournaments this is going to be a ball that sees a lot of action.

It has been a while since I threw urethane so I just used one of my favorite layouts on this ball. I tested this ball on the Broadway Kegel pattern which is 37 feet in length. Normally on this pattern I have a hard time playing straight due to how quick the ball comes of the end of the pattern and it forces me to play farther left use wider angles through the fronts. With the Grenade I was able to play right around 5 and the ball rolled off the end of the pattern instead of jumping. The hitting power of the Grenade is absolutely awesome and unlike some urethane I have seen thrown it never died in the midlanes.

One of my favorite parts about this ball is the moves I made as the lane broke down. Normally I move 3 and 1's or 5 and 2's which widens my angles through the front and puts me in jail eventually. With the Grenade I was able to make parallel moves (1 and 1) and never lost my reaction. I felt like I could throw this ball all day and still have a look.

All in all the Roto Grip Grenade is a remarkable ball for anyone bowling on shorter patterns and for high rev players or slower ball speeds it is a absolute must buy! Great release Roto Grip!!!

The Illusion is one of the more angular ball in the Roto line. Very clean through the fronts with a strong sharp move on the back. I have had a lot of success drilling this ball for higher rev players or lower ball speeds. I have also used this ball a lot to introduce people into the Roto-Grip line. If you are looking for something to use in the second or even third game in league or for those tedious late block squads in a tournament this is a great choice. A very good and underrated release for Roto-Grip.

Knowing that this ball is really strong off the end of the pattern I went with a more even layout to try and get this where I could throw it during transition.

The ability to get this ball through the heads it definitely one of this balls strong suits. Don't get me wrong this ball is not weak, it just gets down the lane a good ways before it shows its colors. Testing this ball on Kegel's Middle Road pattern I was able to play just left of the track (around 13) and get the ball to 7 and it made a really sharp move a the end of the pattern. With a different layout I would have had more area to strike but this is not what I intended this ball to be for. After throwing my original Theory for a while to break the lanes down I went back to the Infinite. This is where this ball really shined for me. Still able to feed to the breakpoint easily from around 18 at the arrows, I was able to open the lanes up more left to right and pretty much strike at will.

This is a great all around ball, depending on the layout you choose you could fit this ball in many places in your arsenal. If you are rev dominate or a matched player this ball is a absolute must have! Speed dominate players still will find a lot of use for this especially if you are looking for something to give you a little more entry angle to the pocket. Once again another great ball by Roto Grip!

I was expecting this ball to be somewhat weaker than my Plutos. Much to my surprise even with the stronger layout this ball turned out to be one of the cleanest balls I have had in years. Not only is it clean but extremely predictable, which proves to be very useful in my aresnal. A few weeks after drilling this I go to bowl our City Tournament where the bowling center that hosts singles and doubles is known for having a really short house shot. After bowling really bad in doubles I decided to try the Mars out. I obviously should have started with it, hense I shoot 799 and win singles scratch. If you have a high rev rate and need something that you can square up to the lane with, this is definitly a ball you should take a look at. Great job Roto-Grip!!

The Mars Pearl is a pearl version of the Mars with the same core. This is a overseas release and is extremely rare. Due to the pearl coverstock this ball will clear the heads very easily and will be somewhat more angular than the Mars. The Mars Pearl is good for broken down or shorter patterns. Get one of these while you still can.

It is too bad that Roto Grip doesn't make the Venus anymore. It is was one of the best balls I had ever thrown on shorter patterns. But the legecy lives on with the shirt. When laying this ball out, I was really looking for something that would handle carry down better than my other balls. The specs on this ball pretty much told me that the Mutant Cell was a very good pick for this so I basically went with one of my favorite layouts.

What a great surprise this ball is. The Cytoplasmic XL cover allowed this ball to get cleanly down lane especially for a solid. (I normally change my cover surface on most balls before I throw it, hence the 4000 surface). I knew the cover would not be a issue just with the success I have had with my Rogues and the cover is the same just without the pearl additive that makes the Rogue a hybrid. The new core that the Mutant uses it what I was most interested in. This is a fast revving core which really translates into a really heavy/continuous motion on the back part of the lane. This is exactly what I was hoping for.

While testing this ball in league (40 ft house pattern) I was able to stay in the same part of the lane for a much longer period of time than I normally can. To makes things even better as the lanes started to break down my ball reaction actually became better as I started to migrate left. My carry percentage was absolutely amazing, as the really heavy rolling motion kept the pins low. (actaully tripped about 4 4pins which is not typical for my higher rev game.) I never had to change balls the entire night and moved a total of 6 boards with my feet and 3 with my eyes. Normally I will move at least 10 to 12 with my feet.

If you are looking for something to add to your aresenal for medium to heavy patterns or if you are just a Roto fan you are going to want to pick one of these up. It is a completely diffferent ball motion than anything in the current line. The Mutant Cell is a very exciting release and is going to a favorite among many types of players.

The Mutant Cell was a very successful ball for me. With the heavy rolling core I was able to conrol the mid part of the lane better. With the Mutant Cell Pearl I was expecting a similar motion but able to create more angle at the breakpoint.

With layout #1 I was looking for something I could move farther left with and get the ball to change direction quicker of the friction. I have used this layout on a Dark Star and had a lot of success. This ball is a absolute monster! It has to be the strongest ball I have ever thrown in the back of the lane. It is a good 8 boards stronger than my Dark Star with the same layout. I tested this ball on the Kegel Challenge Series Beaten Path (41 feet), it seemed the farther left I moved the stronger I could get this ball to come off the spot. As the lane broke down I was able to keep moving left and it still made the corner just as strong. It seemed as though it was immune to carrydown. Overall is this exactly what I was looking for.

With Layout #2 I wanted something smoother that I could use more as a benchmark ball. I have currently been using a Cell with this layout that I would like to replace. Well, I think my Cell is finally going into the closet. WIth this layout and surface it does not even seem like the same ball as layout #1, but compared to my Cell it is very similar but way more continuous. Testing this ball on the same pattern as layout 1 I was able to play farther right and get the ball to stand up and roll, but never even attempted to hit weak. This is by far going to be the first ball out of bag on a lot of patterns.

Overall the Mutant Cell Pearl is going to put another mark on the map for Roto Grip. For me it is even more versatile than the original and I thought the original was extremely versatile. It will work for many types of players, power players are going to love it for playing way left and opening up the lane where strokers are going to love it for the extra umph it is going to give them on the backend. Another great release by Roto Grip!!!!!

The Mystic has been one of my favorite balls in the Roto-Grip line since it has been released. The Particle load in the pearl cover keeps this ball from over-reacting in the back of the lane without sacrificing energy in the fronts.

I have one drilled 60x5x30 and it is one of my most used balls in league. It allows me to stay right longer without having to move out of the track area.

If you are looking for a extremely versatile ball that handle alomst any condition except for the extremities, get one of these while you still can!

This layout is my benchmark symmetrical layout. I have used this on a Nomad Solid and a Riot that I have had success with. I tested this ball on the 39 foot Middle Road pattern by Kegel.

Initially I noticed how much more angular this ball is than my Nomad Solid and Riot with the same layout. On the fresh I was able to play a little straighter due to the fact that I was able to get the ball to clear the fronts so easily. Starting around 13 at the arrows I was able to get ball to 7 at the the end of the pattern where the Dagger then made an extremely strong angular move. After bowling for about 20 minutes the ball started seeing the friction too early, my moves ended up being bigger than I would normally make. 5 and 3's seemed to be the best move to make due to the fact if I opened my angles to the friction I created the ball just went immediately left. I then compared this ball to the new Theory, on the fresh I was about 5 boards farther right at the arrows but was able to use the same exit point at the end of the pattern. The biggest difference was that I didn't have to move as fast with the Dagger, I could stay in one place for a longer period of time with out the ball seeing the friction too early. Comparing it to the Nomad solid I was just slightly right of it, but the entry angle was much sharper.

The Nomad Dagger is a great addition to already great Sword Line. If fits in between the Nomad Solid and Nomad Pearl nicely. This ball is a great choice for me when the lanes are transitioning and carry down is present.

Both the Nomad and Nomad Pearl have been excellent balls for many different types of players. This ball is not any different. With the Hybrid cover the Nomad Hybrid is a great combination of both of the Nomads. It is smoother than the pearl and yet cleaner than the solid. A very good benchmark ball or first ball out of the bag. Consider how hard this ball is to find, get one while you can.

When drilling this I was looking for something to compliment the Nomad Solid when it started reading to soon. What a great combination these two balls are. The Nomad pearl is very clean through the fronts but to my surprise the move in the back is strong and very controlled. After practicing for a few games with the solid I was able to use the pearl in the same place I started with the solid and it still continued through the back part of the lane. If you have never thrown a Roto-Grip ball before this series is a great series to start with. It is a a good price point and even better results. Great Job Roto-Grip!!

The Pluto has been one my go to balls ever since it was released. I have 2 of these drilled 45x4x65 and 30x5x30. These balls are so predicable I can't believe you don't see more of these thrown. They have enough strength where I can throw them on almost any league shot and they work really well on a lot of the sport patterns when they start to break down. High Rev rate players will absolutely love this ball for bowling league, it gets rid of wet/dry reaction that alot of these types of players see.

When laying out this ball we were trying to create a ball reaction that would work well on the 45 foot kegel pattern that we are using on league here. He is currently throwing a Cell Pearl and a Nomad. Both of these balls didn't see the lane early enough so we were trying to get something to read the midlane a little stronger without overreacting off then end of the pattern.

The Realm really fit the bill for what we were looking for. The first night he was able to start in the middle part of the lane shooting 235 the first game. As the pattern began to break down he was able to keep making 2 and 1 moves and continued to keep his breakpoint around the same part of the lane. He ended up shooting 715 for the first night.

I am highly impressed with the Realm. Since this core has not been used in any domestic releases I was really anxious to see how well this ball would roll. It seems to be less heavy rolling than the Mutant which gives it a little more of a angular look. Overall a very good piece of equipment

The design intent of the Riot is to help fill the gaps between the Planet Series and the Nomad Series. This is a release I have been highly waiting on.

Layout #1 is one of my favorite layouts. I have a Nomad and a Pluto laid out this way, so I figured this would be a good layout to use to really compare the Riot with the Nomad and Pluto. This ball rolls absolutely amazing! It definitely fits in the Roto line where it is suppose to. The best way to describe it is very predictable. With this layout the Riot will definitely be a first ball out of the bag for me. It gives me a very good read of the lanes because of it's smooth transition from oil to dry.

Layout #2 is a layout I like to use when the pattern starts to push me farther left and I need the ball to react quicker off the dry. I currently have this layout on a Grand Illusion which has been one of my favorite rolling balls. This Riot is a completely different animal from the other. Compared to my Grand Illusion it is about 5 boards stronger and is much more angular. It is much cleaner through the fronts than layout #1 (due to the surface change) and unleashes a ridiculous move at the breakpoint. This is going to be a great choice for me when the patterns are breaking down and I have to move left still be able to get the ball to recover down lane.

Overall the Riot is a awesome piece of equipment, and for the price you can't beat it. If you are looking for something to replace the benchmark ball in your arsenal or looking for something strong and controllable the Riot is definitely something you should look into.

I had a feeling this was going to be a interesting release. I am a big fan of the Riot and the Dark Star mainly due to the Ultimate Vision cover. With the new Neutron core I didn't know what to expect from this ball other than the numbers indicated it would be stronger than the Dark Star.

The Rising Star turned out to be a really nice surprise. The best way I could describe this would be a similar controlled motion to the Dark Star but stronger than the Riot. This is one of the best ball motions I have seen in a long time for my type of game. I tested this ball on the Kegel Middle Road pattern, it gave me many different ways to play the lane. Playing around 14 to 7 was by far my best look, it clears the fronts nicely and really picks up the midlanes. One of the qualities I liked best was that I didn't have to move as fast as I do with some of my other equipment.

I then tried this ball in league the same night, our league shot is the Kegel Stone Street pattern. I started playing around 13 at the arrows with a breakpoint of 5 and I pretty much stayed there the whole night. I made a 3 and 1 move in the last game and that was it, shooting games of 259, 265, 256. Once again the smooth motion and the ability to stay in the same location was absolutely amazing!

This is a great all around ball. It is definitely a different ball motion than anything else in the Roto line. Rev dominate and matched players will find this to be a GREAT benchmark ball. Speed dominate players also would find a great use for this especially if the surface is changed. Great job to the guys in Utah!

The Hybrid reactive coverstock allows bowlers of all styles to play their favorite part of the lane. Can you say Continuous Motion? This ball doesn't just roll out like most heavy oil balls do. I have been looking very forward to this ball. It really shows that the people in Utah really put some time and effort into this release. This layout is my asymmetrical benchmark layout that I like to use on my first ball out of my bag. I tested this on the 39 foot Middle Road pattern from Kegel.

I noticed immediately how much stronger this ball is than anything I have thrown in the past. It is not as early rolling for me as the Mutant Cell, it is more of a very strong midlane movement. In comparison I was 6 and 3 farther left than my Mutant Cell and 5 and 2 farther left than my Mutant Cell Pearl, playing around 18 at the arrows and 7 and the end of the pattern. The thing that I like the best is how predictable the ball motion is.
The motion for me is similar to my benchmark Riot but MUCH stronger. As the lanes started to break down I was able to make 3 and 1's and my ball reaction just seemed to get better and better. I have not seen this from a ball that is this strong. I bowled league the same day starting with the Theory and continued to throw is the entire night. On the house shot this ball was a monster! It seemed like every time the ball was close to the 1-3 it struck. I put together games of 236,259,248. I did have to move a little more throughout the night than usual but it seemed every time I moved the ball just hit harder.

The Theory is quickly becoming my favorite ball since the original Cell. I didn't think I would find a ball as predictable as The Cell, but here it is. All types of players will be able to put this in their arsenal. A ball motion like this can be used on a HUGE variety of patterns. This ball is a must have!!

The Storm 2 Fast is a great ball for higher rev players as well as lower ball speeds. The R2s Pearl cover is a extremely clean cover that works very well when the fronts start to break down. The new N.O.S core the new addition. With this core you are going to see a bigger motion in the back of lane than the Fast that results in better ball motion through the pins. If you are looking for a ball to use on patterns when they break down this is your ball.

With this bowler being speed dominate we were looking for something that would read fairly early so we could get the ball to not over skid through the mids. We had a open house here and even with the demo balls he was able to strike a ton with this ball. So with layout that would match up to his game it had to be a winner.

This ball rolls absolutely amazing!! I thought the Furious was ok, it was fairly strong and very predictable. The 2 Furious blows that ball right out of the water. It is much stronger than the Furious but still has the predictability. The first night we drilled this I had to bowl against him in league, I probably should have waited till the next day to drill this since he shot 768. As far as how it rolled well it is a good 7 boards stronger than anything he had in his bag. Even being speed dominate he was able to move a little left and open the lane up some.

This is a great ball for all styles. Even rev dominate players will find a spot for this ball in their arsenal. Another great release by Storm!

If you use a lot of tape, the Storm 500 Piece tape Roll is definitely the way to go. You can save yourself about $60.00 by using a roll of tape rather than by the 20 piece packages. This is also my tape brand of choice, it allows me to create a consistent feel from ball to ball and can be inserted and removed very easily.

This customer currently is throwing an Invasion with the same layout. This is his benchmark layout and rolls very well for him so we decided to use the same layout to see if just the cover change would give him more downlane reaction.

This ball is a absolute monster for him. Just like what we were looking for, it clears the heads better and creates a sharper move at the breakpoint than his Invasion. This ball retains energy so much better, he is actually able to move a little bit farther left and still get the ball back from the same basic breakpoint. As the lanes started to break down the Anarchy did not start to lose energy in the fronts like the Invasion did, he was able to make 2 and 1 moves left and continued to pound the pocket.

This ball is going to be a great ball choice for many types of players. If you were a fan of the Virtual Energy this ball is a absolute must have. It is a similar motion but stronger in the back of the lane. Excellent release by Storm!

The Storm Fast is a great ball choice for when the lanes start to break down or for lighter volume patterns. The main strength of this ball is how clean it is through the heads. It allows even the slowest ball speeds and highest rev rates to get the ball to the breakpoint without losing energy. The core in the Fast as well as the Furious works really well with this cover. Due to it not being a overlly strong core it allows the ball to get down the lane without being overly angular. This keeps the ball predictable making it good ball choice for different patterns.

Storm's Frantic is a new ball in the Hot line. The NOS core is covered by the R2S hybrid coverstock. Anyone who liked the Hy-road, will love the Frantic, a little less angle than the Hy-road, but hits just as hard.

The Gadgets are one of the if not the best arm brace on the the market. Not only is it extremely comfortable, almost everything on the brace is replaceable. The pads come right off and can be washed in a washer/dryer and all the straps are replaceable. This could easily be last brace you will ever have to buy.

The Shift Global with it's particle cover is a great control ball for higher volume patterns. The Shift series has been a very good series overall, this overseas version is no differnt. Lower rev players will absolutely love this ball.

This is one of my favorite layouts for a benchmark ball. What really impressed me the most about this release was how smooth the ball responded from oil to dry. Normally on this layout I like to use a P3 or P4 hole but after I threw it without the weight hole I did not want to change the motion at all.

Testing this ball the Kegel Middle Road pattern I was able to play in the track area pretty well due to the smooth motion. I compared this ball to the new Victory Road and to the Roto Grip Theory. This ball fit in between the so well! The Theory was 3 and 2 left of the Marvel and the Victory Road was 3 and 3 right of it. This is going to be a excellent benchmark ball, probably one of the best I have had in a while.

I see this ball working for all players. If you are looking for a ball that will be the first ball out of your bag, the Marvel is definitively a ball to look into.

The Storm Marvel Pearl is a great addition to the Marvel solid. The Pearl will give more length and a stronger flip on the back-end. It's symmetric Centripetal™ Core and R2X™ Pearl coverstock gave it a nice overall smooth motion, with plenty of power on the backend.

This ball could quite possibly be my favorite release out right now. You run into so many conditions now a days where the new modern balls are just too much. Either the balls jump off of the friction to fast or there is not enough oil to get the ball to the correct spot down lane. The Natural fixes both of these issues.

Being a higher rev player I am able to use this ball quite frequently. Whether it is playing up 10 on a fresh league pattern or moving in to the center of lane when heads start to go away. It has been a good while since I have been able to go up the lane on a house shot and the Natural allows me to do this with a awesome amount of energy through the pins.

If you are a higher rev player that is looking for something to go straighter with you HAVE to get the Natural. For the tweeners and strokers this is still a great ball to have in your aresenal for "go-to" situations.

What a great concept by Storm to go back to a urethane cover!

After throwing and having success with the Natural I have been really looking forward to the pearl version. One of my weaknesses has always been short patterns. I had a feeling the Natural Pearl would be a huge help in this situation.

I tested this ball on a 35 ft modified Kegel pattern that we have been using in the mens league here. This is a very tough pattern that plays very wet/dry and seems to carry down extremely quick. Throwing this ball on the fresh I definitely had the best look I have ever had on this pattern. I was able to play right around 5 with a very smooth motion that kept me in play very well. One thing I noticed about this ball in comparison to the Natural is how well this ball hit. Don't get me wrong the Natural is a great ball but to the little extra length I received from the Natural Pearl it hit harder for me.

This ball is must for rev dominate players that want to play straighter. This is also a great ball for short patterns for pretty all players except for the ones that are extremely speed dominate.

I was a big fan of the Dimension series, so I have been waiting for Storm to release a strong symmetrical ball to put in the Master line. The Prodigy fits in this product line very well! It is a very continuous motion that doesn't read the lane too early. it is a great fit between the Invasion and the Reign due to its predictability and smooth motion from wet to dry. Since the prodigy is not too strong for rev dominate players and not too weak for speed dominate players this is going to be a great benchmark ball for a lot of players. Another great ball release!

Storm Reacta Shine is the ideal way to keep up your Storm/Roto Grip products. Using after every bowling session helps prolong the life of the bowling ball. Also great is the fact that it can be used during league play. During a Matchmaker/Open House at my shop this past week, I was able to test one of the Reigns. What a exceptional ball this is. It fits between the Furious and Fast quite nicely. The Reign provides a very smooth midlane motion for a pearl and is quite strong. Everyone that tried it loved it, from stroker to tweener to cranker everyone could find a look with with it.

For me the Reign gave a similar reaction that I used to get out of the Fired Up and even looks a lot like it. I am really looking forward to this release, it fills the ball line with the Fast and the Furious and will be a huge seller I am sure.

The Reign of Fire has quickly become my #1 seller in the shop. You are not going to find another ball in this price range with the performance that it delivers. This review is based of a customer that I drilled one of these for.

When laying this ball out we were trying to fit a ball in between his Reign and Virtual Gravity and would allow him to move left and open the lane up a little more.

I was highly impressed with overall strength of the Reign of Fire. It definitely read earlier than the Reign and was a lot smoother that the Virtual Gravity. It was much stronger in the midlane than I expected but this actually helped him, he was able to get the ball farther right and it still recovered. Overall it did exactly what we were looking for.

The Reign of Fire is turning out to be one of the most versatile balls I have drilled. It matches a lot of different styles, it seems to really excel for speed dominate players.

The Storm Rolling Thunder 3 Ball Roller has the most storage of any 3-ball roller I have seen. Also it is extremely durable. IT is a great bag for the car traveling tournament bowler and for the league bowler. The only disadvantage I see it the weight if you are going to try and take it on a plane, in this case you would want to look at the tournament 3 ball totes. Other than that it is one excellent bag.

The Storm Second Dimension is a great ball for many types players. This is a very strong ball but retains energy very well making it a monster in the back of the lane. I have seen a lot of success with this ball from inside angles with players with higher rev rates. It really allows you to open the lane up from left to right. Even though higher rev players seem to like this ball more, tweeners and strokers can still use this ball on a wide variety of lane conditions. The Second Dimension will give these types of players more motion in the back part of the lane giving a stronger entry angle to the pocket. Get one of these while you still can!

The Storm Streamline 4 ball roller is the best 4-ball roller on the market for the money. It is very durable and the bags attach and detach very easily which makes for easy loading and unloading out of your car. It does have a little less storage space than the Rolling Thunder bags but it still has two storage compartments for accessories as well as the shoe compartment. A very good buy!

This bowler was looking for a ball to use after his Furious was hooking too early. With the hybrid cover and 3 piece core we decided to drill the Tropical Heat Hybrid fairly strong, allowing the coverstock to get the ball down the lane but without being too angular.

I am very impressed with this ball. There have not been too many balls in this price range that roll this well. Testing it on a fresh house pattern it was a little too weak for him to carry out the corners. After moving to a pair that had been bowled on quite a bit throughout the day we found were this ball shines. The Tropical Heat was very clean and controllable just as we had plannned. Once he was able to get the ball to turn the corner it hit like a truck.

The Tropical Heat Hybrid is a great ball for drier conditions for most players. Higher rev players are going to love this ball for a typical house condition. And what a great price tag this ball has on it!!

With this ball I was looking for something to use when the lanes break down. This is one of my favorite layouts for this situation, it allows me to keep the ball on line longer without a a huge skid/flip motion.

This ball fills a big gap in my equipment however it is definitely stronger than I thought it was going to be. The ball motion reminds me of a smoother version of the Reign due to the fact that it reads the midlanes better creating a more controlled motion. The Victory Road is a great compliment to my Anarchy and Theory. With a stronger layout this could also be used a benchmark ball for rev dominate players. rev/speed matched players will find this useful when the lanes transition. Speed dominate players will need some friction or a surface change due to the extremely clean cover.

Looking for a little more length, and back-end, with a more angular ball motion? Magic Shine will keep the overall hook of the ball the same, only the reaction shape will change. Adding a gloss to your ball will help get the ball down the lane, while storing energy until the back part of the lane, to give it a more angular reaction.
