Brunswick Announces Termination of Acquisition
Dear Brunswick Bowling Products Partners:
Brunswick Bowling Products is announcing the previously proposed planned acquisition of the assets of Classic Products Corp., including warehouses, inventory, and general business operations has been amicably terminated due to input from various business partners, a change in strategic direction, and failure to reach an agreement on key terms. Brunswick Bowling Products and Classic Products Corp. will continue operations independently following the cancellation of the acquisition.
We understand that previous announcements raised many concerns among distributors, bowling centers, pro shops, and retailers, and we want to assure you that Brunswick Bowling Products is listening, and we remain committed to the bowling business, the sport of bowling, and our loyal customers.
Kind Regards,
Corey Dykstra

Brunswick Bowling to Acquire Classic Products
Brunswick Bowling Products announced on Monday its plan to acquire the assets of Classic Products Corp., including its four distribution warehouses, inventory, receivables, payables, and operational systems. As part of this transition, Brunswick will shift to exclusive distribution of its Aftermarket and Consumer product lines while maintaining distribution for all existing brands and products within the U.S. bowling market through the newly formed “Classic Bowling Products” division, beginning in May 2025.
The acquisition encompasses four key distribution centers located in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Largo, Florida; Garland, Texas; and Henderson, Nevada.
“Classic Products and its team of exceptional employees have a long-standing reputation for meeting the needs of bowling centers, pro shops, and retailers,” said Corey Dykstra, Chief Executive Officer of Brunswick Bowling Products. “We are excited about the opportunity to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency in the bowling industry while upholding the tradition of outstanding support for bowling centers, pro shops, and retailers nationwide.”
The current owners of Classic Products—Mike Eid, Shawn Spade, and Jimmy Land—will remain in their leadership roles, overseeing operations for the new Classic Bowling Products division under Brunswick Bowling Products.
“This acquisition ensures a seamless transition for Classic Products, our employees, and our customers,” said Eid. “I am confident that Brunswick Bowling Products is the right partner to continue investing in the people and resources necessary to create a robust distribution model that will support the bowling industry for years to come.”
Conclusion
The acquisition of Classic Products by Brunswick Bowling Products marks a significant step in consolidating resources and enhancing the efficiency of the U.S. bowling industry. On the positive side, this merger promises streamlined operations, improved distribution capabilities, and continued support for bowling centers, pro shops, and retailers. The retention of the Classic Products leadership team further ensures stability and continuity for employees and customers.
However, there are potential challenges to consider. Consolidation within an industry often raises concerns about reduced competition, which could impact pricing and innovation in the long term. Additionally, integrating operational systems and aligning organizational cultures may pose hurdles during the transition phase.
Ultimately, if managed effectively, this acquisition could drive long-term growth and efficiency in the bowling industry while maintaining the trusted service that customers have come to expect from both Brunswick and Classic Products.
