What’s So Good About Being Born in March, and Why That List Grows Every Year – March 2009 – No Holes Barred

MARCH IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MONTHS. It’s the month of my birthday, it means spring is right around the corner and I can ride my scooter, baseball is about to begin (go “Blue”), the kids will soon be home from college, vacation time is near and, lastly, the Guinness tastes soooo much better in warmer weather. Seriously now, March is one of favorites because it’s one of my pro shop’s busiest months, as this is “tournament time.” Higher average customers typically want their ball arsenals in tip-top shape because this is the time of year they can win big money. Revenues increase as tournament players tend to revive, refinish and/or replace their favorite balls which, by now, have seen lots of use during the long league season in many cases. These money bowlers also are inclined to fill the empty voids in their bag of spheres to increase the reaction range of their equipment. Plus, we all know you can never have too many bowling balls. So take my advice and visit your local IBPSIA-certified pro shop because it’s good to go green. In this case, it helps both the environment and the economy.
