The Black Widow Nasty Will Be the Last in That Line from Hammer, and It’s a Winner – January 2010 – No Holes Barred by Joe Cerar Jr.

THE NEW YEAR is supposed to usher out the old and welcome in the new. The new what exactly? New goals, new friends, new desires... or maybe just some new balls which are truly special. Well, we’ve got ’em here. With that said, it is with a heavy heart I must say goodbye to a special era of Hammer. The company’s newest Black Widow — the Black Widow Nasty — will be the final ball in that line. Sniff, sniff. The good news is that the Nasty is one of our feature balls this month, so that line goes out a winner.
To help keep everyone happy are five other newbies this month. Storm’s Invasion incorporates an all-new asymmetric core shape married to its most aggressive coverstock to date, the R3X solid reactive. Others of note include a new Raw series Hammer, the Qz1 from Motiv, a non-hooking urethane from Seismic, a new hybrid Death series ball from Lane #1, additional Noize from Columbia, and some more Magic from Ebonite.
