The Pure Physics ball features a reactive pearl coverstock matte finish with Abralon pads from 800, 1000, & 2000 grit processes. This model has an asymmetrical core design with a medium flare potential rating which yields good length, a strong mid-lane roll and a strong continuous back end motion.
The Pure Physics ball works well on medium-heavy to heavy oil conditions and on long oil patterns. This is a good ball for high-rev players with high ball speed. The Pure Physics ball has versatility with different layout choices including a recommended, all-purpose layout pattern for length and a controllable Break Point. This layout pattern uses a 5" pin from the PAP with a Mass Bias located next to the Vertical Axis Line. If a balance hole is desired, use a hole 4" from the center of the span on a line through the Center of Gravity.
Another strong pattern is a skid-flip pattern achieving a sharp Break Point and an aggressive backend motion. This layout pattern uses a 5 1/2" pin location from the PAP, a Mass Bias placement in a strong position, and a balance hole, if desired, 4" from the center of the span on a line through the CG. For smoother layout patterns and strong mid-lane roll with a very smooth back end reaction, it is recommended to use a 3 1/2" - 4" pin location from the PAP with a Mass Bias next to the VAL. A balance hole may be used 4" from the center of the span on a line through the CG.
